Topic: First Beats with MPKmini

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Here is the first beat track that I laid down with my new toy. Used both the AKAI XR20 and AKAI MPK Mini on this one.

Let me know your thoughts please!

thats pretty sweet, i like it. i was hoping for a deep boom of a bass..but it never came.. mind you in 40 odd seconds still bloody good.

i see you went for the mpk mini then?? what do you think?

So far I really like it! Didn't get to play with it very long last night but seems very good. I have to figure out how to program the pads and knobs though.

I will be using it more so stayntuned for that big boom! :)

see, i tod you it ws good, and a bloody good price. did you get studio one software with it? if so, you can map the keys, buttons, whatever .. within the software. if your gonna use the studio one software, pm me i have some bits and bobs you can use with it.

The only thing that came with it was the drivers and mapper software.

oh, some come packaged with studio one. never mind then eh.. if you use ableton, im sure you can assign buttons via that as its a recognised ableton controler.
