Hey guys,


Im rather confused!!!! i recieved Traktor LE with my Mixtrack Pro, i thought it would be Virtual DJ.....


OK.....ive FINALLY received my Mixtrack Pro and connected to my Mac Book Pro..... Im running my set up like this:

Virtual DJ Home Free version on my MacBook, then i take a usb lead into my Saphire 6 External soundcard, then RCA leads into my Active Monitors....

Sooooooo,

Ive hooked up my Mixtrack Pro via the Usb and when i load up the software i can hear audio and i can get control for 10 minutes then i lose all control from the mixtrack pro....

I also cannot hear ANY audio from the headphones so i cant cue anything up....

Does anyone know what ive got to do so i can use both controller and software to its full potential?????

the symptoms you are experiencing are normal. The free home version limits controller usage to 10 minutes with no advanced audio configuration available. Not quite sure what to suggest.
 
only real solution is to buy VDJ pro. mixtrack pro doesnt come packaged with VDJ in europe


 
i no, ive just been speaking with the support line... im sooooooo gutted, ive been waiting ages to get my mixtrack pro, then finally get it with the wrong software... I cant afford the VDJpro version yet... Guess im going to have to check out traktor le and see how that goes.... :( thanks for your help and advice tho...

Why are you running a soundcard? Mixtrack PRO has an internal soundcard. There is also a Mixtrack (without the Pro designation) that does not include an internal sound card.

If you do have the PRO, Set Up should be:
USB from Mixtrack Pro to MacBook
RCA Master out from Mixtrack Pro to your powered speaker.



 
i have a soundcard for all my other hardware, i have a little bedroom studio (i run logic) and its for my other synths.....

yeah, thats very simple as in, no need an additional usb soundcard, just plug the mixtrack pro direct to your laptop...
 
the mixtracks onboard soundcard isnt all that good to be quite honest and a lot of people recomend using an extra soundcard. though i worked out a way to have the audio running from the laptop and still use the mixtrack for cueing.
