Topic: Remix problem after 5 yrs+

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

See if someone can help...I've been using the remix since it came out on the same laptop...Weekend after weekend 3+ club gigs a week no problems. This weekend i started to get a gliche...The left controller or tt1 would jump when i started it....only did it on one side...when i pressed play it would jump plus or minus 1 beat when trying to match with already playing song. like i said only did it on one side....nothing has been spilled on controller...dont think its a play button problem because it does start immediatley when i press, just jumps....Computer has never been on net nor am i running any virus protection or anything else in backround

Are you talking about an RMX?

Yes i am

Ok, you said the left controller or tt1. Are you using a turntable with time code and the RMX as a souncard?

No just the RMX....dont know how else to describe it....left side of rmx is tt1 and rt side is tt2

OK, I see why I'm confused. You have been using this controller for 5 years. Is it possible that the button contact has failed or needs to be cleaned? I have 2 DMC 2 controllers and have had to clean and lube the button contacts. Have you tried using the software without the controller, or using a different controller? This can narrow it down to see if it is the computer, software, or the controller.

Try This: Go to config then select soundcard, select RMX and I guess there is a reset there.

@ A Man and His Music i will check all that and see whats what...BosaBose will try that also...Thx guys

Problem solved...The little lock above the play button on the skin/screen, was clicked ON...that caused my problem..Unclicking it problem solved.

Good luck. I just realized I don't even know what smart play does. Anybody?

smart_play : when smart_play is activated, songs are automagically synchronized when played.

Got it, thank you.

No problem. If you ever want to know what things do that show up in your skins when you hover over them, look here, https://virtualdj.com/wiki/VDJscript_verbs.html
You should be able to find what you r looking for.

Hope that helps
