Okay here is the package I have put together for beginning lights. Please give me your thoughts on it and provide any feedback or adjustments to this package:

1 - American DJ Revo 4
1 - Chauvet Hurricane 1300 Fog
2 - American DJ Mega Bar 50RGB
1 - American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System
1 - American DJ MyDMX Lighting Control (Going to look for cheaper alternative)
2 - American DJ Aggressor Tri LED
1 - American DJ PC-100A 8-Switch ON/OFF Power Center

I can get this package for around 1100-1200.00, what would you change?

Add 2 ADJ Micro Galaxians into that package and it would be a solid setup with plenty of options.
 
I had a similar budget and here is what i went with - the real question is are you going to take the time to really use the DMX controller and program all of your lights? I knew as a mobile DJ with changing venues and different setups from gig to gig I probably wouldn't take the extra time to program them all and my friends that DJ too told me that they almost always used the "music reactive mode" on their lighting.

I am also into symmetry, both for the effects and for the looks of the rig so here is what I ended up with

2 x ADJ Reflex LED ($150 Each)
ADJ Majestic Centerpiece ($200)
Chauvet Hurricane 1300 Fog Machine ($100) Absolutely love it ! my 3rd fog machine and by far the best
ADJ Dura Truss Crank system with extra truss section 15 ft total. - much sturdier than the Crank II and with the extra length I fly my speakers on the ends (QSC K10) $400 - i got mine on craigslist for $200
2x Chauvet st-2000 strobe lights w/ ch751 controller ( $115)
PC-100 8-switch outlet center ($30)

$1100

Edit - Ok just saw you had 2 aggressors on there guessing 1 of those on each side and the revo-4 in the middle that would look good :)

Lighting is really subjective since you get a lot of the same effects from a ton of different options.

I also found you can get a pretty cool effect by shooting one of the cheap green turantula lasers at an 8" mirror ball

Keeping everything else and just adding two of Micro Galaxians?

Yes Aggressors on the ends and Revo4 in the center with the Light Bars between them. That is the plan. I have added two Micro Galaxians and possibly remove the DMX controller for now. Yes in the future I plan on using full blown DMX but not initially.

MyDMX is extremely easy to program. All the lights profilers are there and it tells you what switches to move on the lights in a little picture. Good choice.

Actually I dropped the MyDMX for now and picked up two Micro Galaxian lights. My next purchase will be the myDMX!!
