Hello.
I think I found a bug on version 7.0.3 and 7.0.4 of Virtual DJ Home.
When I choose the audio config "Laptop with a second USB card" for use headphones on a second sound card, the program, by default, sets both (the primary and secondary sound cards) as "Primary Sound Driver Device", even with a second sound card connected on the computer.
So to make the program to work with headphones on the second sound card, I need to change the default secondary sound card defined (from "Primary Sound Driver Device" to the second sound card present on the computer).
But, when I do this, the program alerts that it is a complex configuration and can be used for 10 minutes.
After time elapsed, the program resets the primary and secondary cards again to "Primary Sound Drivver Device", losing headphones functionality.
On version 7.0.2, all works as expected (the primary card is defined as "Primary Sound Drivver Device" and the secondary card is defined as the second sound card of the computer. No changes are needed.
Can you correct this?
Thank you.

Someone can confirm if this is a bug or not, please!

I am quite new to Virtual DJ and noticed exactly the same problem.
I haven't found any solution so far.

You aren't alone. I sent in a question to technical support last night. If I get a response, I'll copy/paste it here.

Good, I have also opened a ticket. Let's see what they find out.

Yes, we confirm this is a bug in the current 7.0.4 version.
We will fix this in 7.0.5.
The bug is that the Home edition incorrectly detect if the soundcards have enough outputs to be used as a monitor soundcard (and therefore default back to the same card as the default one used for the main output).
A temporary fix, until 7.0.5 is available, is to click on "More...", then select in output "advanced config", and click on "advanced config...".
Just opening the advanced config window will correctly set the number of channels on every soundcard.
You can then cancel the advanced config window, and keep the basic usb-headphone configuration.

Any chance there is a solution for the mono cable splitter with VDJ 7.04? I have plugged in the mono-cable splitter and set the configuration to "laptop with (y-cable)" but the exact same sound is going to both my "master" output(speakers) and the secondary output(headphones). I am not sure if this is the exact issue the users above were facing but I was hoping to get some feedback. Additionally I have tried to go to "more" and then "advance configuration" but this has not solved the issue for me either. Please help!

Hi,
I've got exactly the same problem. Ever since upgrading to the current version I cannot monitor through headphones unless, as stated above, I alter the config settings, but that only lasts for 10 minutes.
The above temporary fix does not work (at least not for me) Every time I boot Virtual DJ I'm now getting a pop up box telling me that 'Directx WDM is either not connected or the settings are incorrect'. This was not happening on the previous version I was using (version 7.0)
I've tried uninstalling the current version and going back to version 7.0 until this bug is fixed, but I'm experiencing exactly the same problem with the older version now. . .
Can anyone advise why this is so? Everything was OK before I upgraded to 7.0.4.
