I've noticed that when im using my hercules rmx, beats tend to miss out. Like 1 every 8 or so beats, not exactly 1 in every 8 but it happens every couple of seconds. Luckily it's not very noticeable in the club i DJ at, but i've startede recording bootlegs and obviously it sounds horrible, especially if it decides to leave out the beat which is on the big drop!!!
I've plugged some speakers into my laptop and played virtual dj songs through the laptop directly instead of the rmx and it sounds perfect.
Does anybody know how to fix this? Or is it just how it is?
thanks..

Have you tried a reinstall of the drivers for the unit?

Do you have master tempo/keylock switched on?
VirtualDJ Console Edition is free limited software and an older v5 version of the software and only has a basic master tempo algorithm. Depending on how much adjustment is made to the pitch, this can lead to audio artefacts with drums, etc.
Try the new advanced stretching algorithm in the latest Home FREE v7.0.4 http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html for 10 minutes.
Assuming that it is not second hand or the discount has not already been used, your RMX DJ Console entitles you to a significant discount off upgrading to the latest full VirtualDJ Professional. To receive this, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and enter your DJ Console software serial number in the box provided.

In that case, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and register your Pro serial number. Then download the latest v7.0.4 from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
Then set CONFIG -> Performances -> Master Tempo to Advanced stretching.
If that doesn't help, check your computer for performance issues: http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/4094/Common_performance_issues_and_solutions.html
