Topic: USB problem w Pioneer CDJ400 not recognizing separate players

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I use Virtual DJ Pro with an HP laptop, Windows 7, and connect via USB to two Pioneer CDJ-400 players

Until a couple weeks ago, no problems - the left player would say 01 on the display, and I could use the player to control, and the right would say 02, same functionality

Suddenly one day I booted up, and now both players say 01

I can use Cue and pause and pitch control, etc, but only for 01

The software functions perfectly otherwise - if I stay strictly on my computer screen with the mouse, it all works fine with mixer on separate channels, just does not allow me to use both decks in a physical sense

As a test, I installed on my other HP laptop, also with Windows 7, and it works perfectly fine

My instinct says this is a Windows issue, and maybe a driver mapping issue?

Just want to know if anyone has any insight into what i need to re-install or revise, is it a Windows problem? A USB driver problem? Corrupt Virtual DJ problem?

Just don't want to lose my Virtual folders and stuff like that, so any info from anyone is appreciated

Thank you in advance.

Press EJECT on CDJ to swap decks.

In case you have changed the default mapper and EJECT does something else, goto Config->Mappers select CDJ from the drop down list and choose Mapper Options to assign each CDJs to the decks you wish.
