just bought dual cd when i plug it in to line in inputs an push play it plays with or with-out source button on, no control plays wide open if u push source button on it echos no gain control no volume control no control if i hook my phone in line the only way to control volume is through phones volume please i need help any ideas

First off, go the the Rmx control panel (the little DJ icon by the clock), and in the Advanced tab, be sure that for Hardware Mix, USB 1-2 (default) is selected.
If USB 1-2 + Line In is selected, the signal of the source connected to Input 1-2 is sent directly to the main output 1-2. This is done in hardware and provided no level controls since it act as a simple pass thru.
Once this is done, then the software, in this case VDJ, needs to the configured to correctly to use your source.
For the audio configuration, use the following:
Input : Line Ins
Output(s): Headphone > Master Chan1/2 / headphone Chan3/4
Soundcard: DJ Console Rmx
This way, VDJ will be a able to apply EQ and gain over the input signal when Source is enabled.
