Topic: problems with my cue mix

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

For some reason my cue mix will not let me listen to the program - only the music that I have cueing on the other deck. i cannot listen to both tracks at once which is very problematic. this seems to have just started happening. does anyone have any suggestions?

another question - when i first play a track at the start of any session it plays from my speakers VERY VERY VERY loud. then next song i play is at normal volume - any ideas about this?

question number one is the real problematic issue at the moment though. thanks.

BUMP!

Having same issue but only using VDJ connected to mixer to mix. I am unable to cue both songs through headphones unless under the 4 decks skin which is unnecessary for my needs. HELP!

For MixTrack Pro, please set your sound settings (CONFIG -> Sound Setup) as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY.

Make sure that you have plugged a pair of powered stereo speakers into the master outputs on the back of the console and your headphones into the headphone socket of the console.

Alternatively, connect a suitable cable (2x RCA to 3.5" headphone jack) from the master output of the console to the line input of your computer. The sound will then come out through the computer's speakers (If not, go to your sound card's mixer/control panel and ensure that the line input is not muted and the volume is set to an appropriate level.)

NOTE: VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and does not support outputting sound directly through your computer's own built-in sound card with headphone pre-listening. It is designed to work with the sound card in the console only. For more flexible sound configuration options and much, much more, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

When loading a song for the first time, make sure that you allow it to load in full before playing it, otherwise the volume may change as the song loads and VirtualDJ determines the correct gain to apply to the song. We recommend pre-analysing your music collection to avoid this http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/3972/Pre-analysing_your_music_collection.html
