Hey everyone,
Im looking for some advice on upgrading my DJ rig and virtual DJ.
Ive been a user of a bcd3000 and virtual dj 6 and im looking to spend under 700 between in this upgrade process.
ive seen alot of good products for hardware, like the hercules rmx or even something as crazy as the Numark ns7.
This rig will be on the road, giged at different locations.
Im also confused about the difference between vdj pro and standard. Is it worth the 200 dollar upgrade?
Im using a quadcore intel custom built rig with 4gb of ddr2 800 ram.
Im curious to here everyones best advice. I would like to spend less than 700 if possible.
Thanks in advance!
-Mike

If you want to use a MIDI device such as the Hercules RMX you will need the full Pro version as basic does not offer MIDI support. You can check out The VDJ Version Comparison Chart to see the differences between all of the versions and how they stack up against one another.
The software portion of your question is easy, but when it comes to hardware it's truly a matter of preference. The hardware market is flooded with controllers, do some research, visit some music stores, try some out and find what you like.

Yes, you need to touch stuff yourself. I one size fit all, there would not be 30 controllers on the market. Make that 32, two more just came out while I was writing this.
