I have a toggle switch mapped on my MixDeck to "Dump while_pressed" and when I push the switch it just plays in reverse, not acting like a bleep button. Is this the wrong way to write it??
Thanks for the time
Huey
I also tried mapping a key on my keyboard and got the same result.............Is this verb no longer valid??

It's working fine on my system "deck 1 dump while_pressed"

BTW: According to "dump" verb description:
The music will play in REVERSE (that's fine) until you release the button. When you release the button the music will continue from the place IT WOULD have been if you never used dump.
On your screen you will see the track play in reverse while "dump" occurs. However as soon as you release the button the music jumps forward to the right spot. You can check it by the elapsed/remain times too (use a long dump >10secs)

Thanks Phantom, I saw that description in the wiki thats why I posted. Anyways I figured out what the problem was, I had "SAFE MODE" checked under the performance tab.................Now that has me wondering, "WHAT else doesnt work when safe mode is checked??"
Could somebody point me in the right direction as to what doesnt work when Safe Mode is checked..................

IMHO "Safe Mode" is obsolete...
Anyway here's another "trick" with Safe Mode ON:
Load a track, start it, and somewhere in the middle of it set an automatic loop.
Now use song_pos to bring playback somewhere in the "past" of the loop... (you can even use a hotcue that's in the past I think)
VDJ will keep playing, and once it meets the loop it will ENTER the loop and it will keep looping until you manually dismiss the loop!
With Safe Mode OFF VDJ won't do this...
