hi guys, today ive setup my ac audio speakers up in the conservatory so i can listen to some vibes while i sit in the sun with a breeze blowing on my feet.
im using my H/H power amp and every now and then its cutting out. not completely, but its dropping really low in volume. ive discovered the volume knob crackles or causes the volume to change irregularly.
can someone please give me some sort of insight into why this is happening?
thanks, john

Hi Blu
Common problem. Normaly caused by a build upof dust and other crap on the track of the volume control pot. Nip down to RS or Radioshack and get yourself some contact cleaner , whip the lid off and spray some into the volume control while turning the control back and forth. Should sort it out. If it comes back then look at gettig the vol control replaced.

thanks daz, ill give that a try and let you know how it goes. i might swap the vol knob for the one on channel 2 actually as i only use channel one.

might be a silly comment but why not just use ch2 instead? :)

because channel 2 is more of a slave channel and has a lot less sound control options.
i fixed it now, i just swapped the controlls round. now its sorted.
