Topic: help with restoring cue points

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hi all

after uninstalled/reinstalling vdj (from instructions from VDJ support)..i've lost all my cues points and the complete database is unscanned.

I understood that the xml on the external (where i keep my videos/music), would hold all that info..which the xml is still there.

What other file is need for this information to come up correctly?

This is my laptop giving me this issues (which is VISTA)...i went to work last night and the desktop at work with VDJ recognized everything as normal (Complete cue intacted)...what file is this desktop looking at differently then my laptop.

thanks for any help.

im working tonight using my laptop and havent had a reply back from help support/email/phone

make sure that the file path is the same, I have never used vista, but when I upgraded to windows 7 from xp, they changed the filepath from "my documents" to "user" if you use find and replace on a "copy" of the xml file you could change the file path, again just make sure you have backed up you xml, you could accidentally corrupt the file you have

or you could use this

thanks for the reply..i'll have to check into this, even though the files are showing up in the vdj browser, its just the additional info that isnt fixed.....

ah not sure then, but i don't think my internal hard drive and external have the same cue points for the same tracks... I would try to recover it from the normal hard drive if you can, not sure how to do it though.
