I m having the same problem too. it worked fine with the pc but now i switched to mac book nothing. I downloaded all the latest updates for VDJ and numark nothing happened. VDJ plays off the lap top but doesn't recognized numark mixdeck even thou, it says its connected... I wanted to switch from the trial version of VDJ but now a little skeptical that i might waste my money if its don't work. any body got an answer cause it seems that a lot of us are having this issue.

After installing the latest drivers, connect your Mixdeck with a USB cable - turn it on - Go to Mac Applications/Utilities/Audio-Midi and make sure your Numark Mixdeck appears on the list aside from built-in input/output. If it appears there, set it as your input and output device.
Then do the VDJ Sound & Mapper configurations.
Hope this would help... Goodluck!
*Note* Don't expect the Mixdeck mixer part to react as midi-controller... it is actually an analogue mixer.

Please check if you really have started the latest VDJ version 7.0.5.
VDJ Config - Info
Please try to do a complete VDJ deinstall .

After that set it up like that:

When i say its not listed it's my mixdeck that is not listed as an audio device in my macbooks sound devices are per the post above and therefore not surprisingly VDJ, or Traktor for the matter cant find it!!!

THIS SHOULD SOLVE IT
With OSX 10.6 and higher this will help with get it recognized. I hope its not repetitive for you but it has helped others:
1. Using the “Numark Driver Remover” remove Driver version 2.0.2.
2. Restart*
3. Download driver 1.6.9 and install.
4. Restart
5. Remove driver 1.6.9 using the “Numark Driver Remover”
6. Restart
7. Install driver 2.0.2
8. Restart
You will be forced to restart after the installation of new drivers.
