Topic: Why doesn't my mixdeck crossfader respond to virtual dj?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am using Pro 7.0. My jog wheel and everything on the "CD Player" sides on the mixdeck are working. But nothing on the mixer park, no LOW, MID, HI eq, no crossfade, no channel volume. Nothing. When i go into "mapping" and "key learn" then tweak something on the mixe, it doesnt show anything. Please help.

That's normal. Mixdeck has an analogue mixer. It's not a midi mixer. So you cant map it, and you cant see those faders and knobs moving on the screen. It's like using a separate external analogue mixer.
 
my mixer is same, i wish it had USB.
 
i found out that problem wen i was trying to record my mixin and after 5 hrs of mixing i thought, why is my mixing so terrible
 
 

do i plug it in my mic, or shall i get a external sound card w/ audio in on it.
 
External card FTW.
