Topic: Second output on mixtrack pro is set to cue??

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey i recently bought a mixtrack pro and everything works fine except for the fact that RCA output 2 on the back of the controller is set to cue instead of being a second speaker output in virtual dj LE. Is their anyway i can change it so i can have two speaker outputs instead??

Im having the exact same problem with 7 pro.

Most likely your sound settings are incorrect.

First, please ensure that you have the latest VirtualDJ LE v7 installed: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Then go to CONFIG -> Sound Setup and set your sound as follows:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY.

Mine is set to that exact setting and I too am having no luck getting this to work.
I am running Version 10.6.6 on a 27" iMac w a Mixtrack Pro and Virtual DJ Pro.

Please help.

Thats how i have it set up in config, the problem isnt that.

So did you guys all manage to miss the note under item 30 on page 5 of the Mixtrack Pro Quickstart Guide?

No i see that in the guide, but it still doesnt tell me how to split the master between the two RCA's in the config.

That is because you can't. the 2nd output is for an external mixer or cueing only. It will not work with a 2nd set of speakers. If you want to run 2 sets of speakers you have to split the main output or use an amp with more than 2 outputs.

Simply use 2x RCA Y splitter cables (1x RCA plug to 2x RCA phono sockets) to split the left and right master outputs into two. You can then connect two sets of speakers.

I having the same problem but can you elaborate a little more on what connectors/adapters I need to connect both speakers for the use with my Mixtrack Pro, please, thank you! I am finding a bit difficult to differentiate the connectors/adapters I need.

OK guys I found a solution to our problems. The guys at guitar center near my house helped me on this one. But this solution will only work if your speakers have XLR connection port. I have 2x KRK Rockit 5, they have an XLR port, So all I had to do is buy two XLR to RCA cables for the Right and Left RCA on the Mixtrack Pro. Both of my speakers work now. Hope this helps.

there is a way to change the outputs in the advanced configuration setting, however when I went through and tried it I lost the ability to cue up my headphones when they were connected to the mixtrack. has anyone been able to succesfully reconfigure it so both sets of rca's work as main out?
