Hey guys wondering if anyone can help a young lad out. When I mix live i hear a few cracks here and there but when I record a mix it cracks real bad. I never had this problem with vdj6 but I upgraded to 7 and its kinda weird. Any suggestions?
I have 2 denon 3700s with a denon 1500 mixer which is connected with the maya 44 usb.

Nothing else has changed, only moving from 6 to 7??
First thing I would try (if in your shoes) would be to increase the ASIO buffer size, and see if that makes things better or worse.
Also, why not try using the sound cards in the S3700s instead of the MAYA? One less thing plugged into the USB could make the difference.
Are you using spinning platters? Try with them off and see if it's improved. I know there's an issue with the spinning platters on the HS5500s affecting VDJ, so it could be that too.

This is a known issue with the Herc. products. Go look in the hardware section for a fix.

I could go and search for a link for you but, I'm a parent. I have come to learn, my girls learn more when they find things out for themselves, than they do when I spoon feed them everything. Try and find the fix, you'll be surprised how much information you learn along the way ;^)

so i tried increasing the buffer size and it minimized the cracks. you can still hear cracks though when i upload different songs to mix to while recording. i switched the scratch latency to latency and the cracks seemed to be unnoticeable but when i try to scratch it sounds to digital. like your using the flanger in 1/2 mode. when i switch it back to quality the cracks are there to stay. tried the 3700 soundcard but couldnt adapt to the midi controlling so i said screw it. so yeah any more suggestions or methods? also i upgraded to windows 7. i heard some people were having slight problems with it but a majority of other people said it worked great.

try de-selecting "safe mode" and recording again; does it solve the problem?
