Topic: USB audio fix from Microsoft

This is for users with audio issues using a USB 2.0 soundcard. Microsoft has released a new driver for the usb 2.0 that specifically targets audio playback issues.
Try it out see if it works for you.

Nice find, but what about those who have SP1 for Windows 7 installed?
 
This may explain a lot of problems people are having with latency and skipping on newer laptops.

I have always ran XP and had no issues at all.

I believe when they say, Vista 32/64bit and Windows 7 32/64bit hopefully they mean SP1 too. I haven't installed SP1 on my 64bit Windows yet. Do you know what SP1 consists of, like fixes or anything. It might have this driver included in the update.
