Hi all,

I have i difficult time to create smooth bridges when playing classic funk music from the 60-70th. There are so many different beats so it is almost impossible to beat match even when having the same bpm. How do you do it when playing funk? Or do I have to rely on using brakes etc.

Thankful for your advice.

breaks and effects help a lot when mixing funk. it is very hard. u might also try to mix on the cymbal or hand clap as opposed to the bass drum.
That works for me sometimes on hip hop and rap.
