Topic: Memory hog

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I was checking the memory usage in windows xp task manager and discovered that virtual dj version 3.0 was using 215 megs of memory. I have also discovered that the auto gain must be set to -2.8 or lower to get clean sound without distorting. Overall the program is great.
Please consider for your next update.
Thanks,

Do you have the Time Stretch disabled? Alot of the bass distortion comes from that.

If you have the limiter on, it compresses a little the sound.

Try disabling it to get better sound.

the memory 'hog' is due to vdj decompressing all audio into memory so that everything can be processed faster & is less reliant on the CPU. Ram is cheap these days and it is a small payoff for great preformance. recommend min 512mb and should have at least 1gb
