bloody good question???

my answer though would have to be

nero

Because the vdj ripper doesnt work - at least it never has successfully for me - audio and video sync always out - cant figure out where some songs end and others begin, etc.

I've used AutoGK for years - not sure if still available.

just looking for simpliest way to rip probably to mp4 and save quality picture ans audio.dont really tag much just song name and artist ec

handbrake

Yip, I have a QuadCore MacPro, and it rips & encodes a DVD in minutes with Handbrake. Great program!

ill check it out guys cheers

ok just checked out handbrake guys.some vids on yt are poor tutorials but im guessing that you can rip the dvd into single music vids(mp4) for use from hd with vdj.
what is the quality of sound like after ripping.also some guys saying it takes hours to rip a dvd from experience what you guys say as to me folks (turning into chuck using words like folks lol) on here know whats best for vdj
thanks yall lol

Yes, you can rip to individual files.

Sound is fine, there's also an option to choose sound encoding and volume boost.

Speed is dependent on your PC. My MacPro does a DVD in no time at all, but a "normal" PC will take a fair bit longer.

You'll just have to play with it to find your optimal settings.

thats it krad mate so many settings on it think it version. 0.95 i downloaded....think ill just check my hd and see what settings on one of my music videos.....as i said just want as simple as possible...as you can tell im not good at this sort of tech stuff..dont understand all the dimensions/codec.ect
when i get dvds ill have a go...will be doing this on my pc 2 core duo then transfer to hd i hope lol
think ill go back to carring boxes of cds around lol

jesus guys has to be easier way of just ripping dvd to single files

If you're ripping screenplay or promo only discs I'd recommend LM Office DJ Extractor. You just pop the disc in let it download track names and it goes to work.

bnb they are just music dvds i got.problem for me is i dont know what im meant to rip as there are 3 different files for chapter 1 ect.never did anything like this before so dont understand all the chapter/titles part os how to split files to seperate tracks.
i thought it was just like ripping a cd lol rip title and play.
my dvds are video_ts and think vob format.but as i said there is a vob / a bmp /and ifo file all for each track.
when i have dvd in pc nd open vjd it there perfect just 25 videos so cant get my head around it even after watching numerous videos..all the cids seem to be for ripping films with handbrake

aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh thought id get that out before i throw dvds out the window.
just cant split or know what to split files

If you're not doing music video dvd's like promo only I reccomend format factory for ripping dvd's

it's incredibly simple and free

if you are doing Music video dvd's like promo only lmoffice dj extractor is about as simple as it gets
