Topic: Stupid question but need some guidance !!!!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi guys slowly but surely im getting into being a dj so I went out and purchased the Numark Mixtrack Pro I don't have the speakers yet but I was practicing using my headphones on some mixes so far im loving the virtual dj software.

My confusion is how do I continue playing a track in deck A while I add a new song to deck B from my playlist ?? Example>> Song in deck B finished... deck A is still playing... load new song in deck B deck A now stops playing ??

Also do I need to connect my speakers in order to hear the music outloud when im cueing in my head phones thought my laptop's speakers would be able to play external while internally I could use my phono's ?

Thanks guys

Cmon guys 12 views and no responses lol

you are listening to the tracks via PFL AKA Cue so when you drop another track in the next deck the PFL/cue is automaticly selected so that you may PFL/cue the next track to be played. You can click back on the PFL button on the track that is currently playing and then listen to it. Unless you have a external sound card that allows you to have a main speaker output as well as a headphone jack you will be limited on your options

Thanks Jam Master that was killing me I was trying to bring a new track on the deck and it kept stopping the current one that was playing !!!!

Well I guess getting the speakers hooked up would help deff in allowing me to hear the one thru the speaks and the cue song in my phono's.

You still require an external sound card to be able to pre-listen.

I thought the Numark Mixtrack Pro has that covered already ?? I mean thats what I was told was the benefit over the regular mix track ?? Now im confused lol

My bad. You are correct. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry double post by mistake !!!

No prob thx for the help....Im just wondering whats so limited about this version of Vdj. As opposed to the pro version ?? Didn't know it was limited which kind of sucks lol

If you get the VDJ Pro Full Version you can set your headphones so that you can manually control which deck you want to here. I mean can do it in LE but every time you load a track or place your hand on the jog whell in scratch mode it will automatically switch your headphones to the deck. That can be annoying,, (to me anyway).

You can get the VDJ Pro Basic which give you all the features of full except the broadcasting.
