Topic: Need QUICK help for Fashion Show

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am looking for GOOD music to spin for a fashion show. I'm not up on which kind of music to play. I know house music but don't know Techno or whatever else I may need.

Anyone know some mixes I could use that are posted here in the VDJ community?

The fashion show is TONIGHT!!! That's why i'm looking for pre mixed music.

MUCH PROPS to whoever helps me out.

I have helped prepare music for my modelling agency & you don't want anything too fast as you can't walk a runway to it. My agent is really digging the Elektro Swing stuff that's out now. You want a steady beat they can walk to.

Stereo Love works well for runway. Barbra Streisand-Ducksauce also. Martin Solveig's Hello.

Anything with a 120-128 BPM should do the trick bro.

Depends on the scene they are doing you can also do R&B as long as it has a steady beat they can strut to.

At Bridal Shows we stick to Top40 stuff that the audience can relate to.

I did something similar in the past, the key is having songs between 120 and 130.

No break drops, it's bad on the runway trust me!

Then if they have a theme you can try to squeeze in something to remind it.

For instance, one i did had a line which was related to ''storm'' line of clothing so thunderstruck qith a 128 bpm on it was crazy!

>Anyways I am sure you will do just fine, and most important have fun dude!

The Fashion Show went real good. Weird but good.

I am the regular DJ for D.C. Fashion week and I always have their music because I know what all the designers want.

Last night was a different designer and I've never worked with her before.

She wanted all slow jams and hip hop.

It was a good night but like I said, it was weird.
