seeing as you called me babes...everything's cool lol!!

ended up splashing out a bit more and went for the pioneer SEP-C1
http://www.decks.co.uk/products/pioneer/sepc1

though i've literally just noticed in the last few minutes that it doesnt have a crossfader:(

any ideas on how well this would work with VDJ6? it comes bundled with DJS, but i had a quick look at that, and it's just not even on the same planet as VDJ

Taco...your going to need a mixer and soundcard to go with the Pioneer, as it's just a controller.

I'd have suggested the RMX in the price range you originally suggested - full MIDI controller with built in sound card and full mixer control and it's plug and play with VDJ.

thanks simon. didnt realise that at the time:(
can you recommend a good mixer that is compatable with this controller....something not too pricey as ive went way over my budget already:S

cheers

If you wish to be able to video crossfade, you will need a MIDI capable mixer such as Pioneer DJM-5000

Alternatively, you could map a knob that you do not need to use on the SEP-C1 to video_crossfader or a button to video_transition to performan an automatic transition to the appropriate deck. For basic mapping instructions, please see http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/4149/VDJscript_Mapping.html

NOTE: To use MIDI controllers including the Sep-C1, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

The version that you have now is a limited edition (LE) of Numark Cue and will only work with the Numark Total Control.

thanks
had a look at the DJM5000....bit too much for me right now, my son would have to go without nappies for the next few months lol!!

opted instead for a DJM350
