Topic: Few NetSearch / General VDJ questions

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello all,

I recently bought a pro license and a premium subscription. I have been using VDJ for a while and it was time to upgrade to 'full' version and use legal music services like NetSearch.
So, questions:

- Right now the files are downloaded to my local hard drive - can I just move them to an external HDD, and add them to my library? Is there an easy way to do this, since I arranged all my music under virtual folders by my own "genres".
- Is it possible to have the browser de-attached from VDJ? I frequently use 2 screens, even at gigs, it would be nice to have a bigger browser, but switching to full screen isn't really that perfect since I like to monitor everything.
- Is there a way to "request" songs to be added to NetSearch? I must say, it has A LOT of music, but some known local songs here (Belgium) are missing, and I would really like those.

Thanks in advance!

Too bad nobody answered my question.. I have a new one though. I have a new laptop now, so I just copied the complete cache - but it seems that the ID3s properties were not stored in VirtualDJ itself but in the library file.

Not an issue really, since I only really need name and artist.
What I want to know:
If I e.g. move these cache files to another directory, and structure them in to subfolders (e.g. artist name), will these cache authorizations still be refreshed automatically? (I'll add all the files to the search library)

Thanks.
