Hi guys, I've just recently started mobile dj'ing and have only done parties for freinds and my works xmas doo but I have my first big gig coming up - I'm doing a 21'st and the guy has booked a bar so I want to make a good impression in a hope to get more work..
My sound setup consists of my new Toshiba laptop, RMX, 3 channel phonic mixer which I use to plug my ipod into incase the laptop throws up the blue screen of death... 2 active fullrange 15" Wharfedales and an 18" active Wharfedale sub. This has been more than enough for the gigs I've done and has been more than enough for noise control once or twice...
I'm looking to add to my current lighting setup and need some ideas and suggestions.
I currently have a 12" mirror ball with 2 pinspots, a 1500w dmx strobe light, a 30mw sound active green laser, acme skyray, 2 cheap 50w moonflowers, 4 colour twig light, and a DMX led umbrella which is a copy of the chauvet vue 6.1. And a 950w smoke machine. I have 2 T bar's and a 3 meter truss which I can also add to it. I also have a DMX controller (which I'm still learning to use).
I was thinking of maybe adding some led par 64's or an led colour strip what would you recommend?
Also I would like to get rid of the cheap moon flowers and upgrade them to something else?
I even like the idea of getting rid of the single laser and getting 2 similar but dmx and linking them etc.
If I had the money I'd get some sort of scanners.
Eventually I'd like all the lights to be able to be DMX controlled and most of them Led's due to them using less power.
Any recommendations would be graetly appreciated.
