I was wondering if it was possible to scan an external hard drive for BPMs using Virtual DJ using my desktop computer (Windows) and when I hook up the external hard drive to my mac laptop will it carry the BPMs over? I don't want to have to over write the database file on my mac.. Any help on this would be great! Thanks!!

I use 2 seperate PCs for my work. My home computer DLs all my music, repairs tags, and analyzes all of my work in VDJ on an external HD. I then use a different PC when I go live, and everything remains accurate. I'm not sure how this will work on a Mac, but all you have to do is try a couple test files on your PC then plug it into your mac to see if the work you've done converts over.
I think it will be unlikely as they are 2 seperate operating systems. You could always boot camp windows onto your mac and that would work.

matt open seperate thread as you wont get answer in this thread or open a ticket.
to try answer original post when you update bps ect on your pc open your hd when done and make sure your xml file updated....
then plug hd into mac and copy the updated xml file into...documents/virtualdj folder and now open vdj programme and your updated files should be good to go (just done some work on pc and transfer to mac and this worked for me)..
remember each time you update your hd UPDATE you vdj folders xml on your mac
