Yep, looking better than the first version.
For SEO purposes, you need more mentions of yourself and what you do. Your text is all written in the first person.
If you want to have "web visibility" as DJ Les then you need to have DJ Les on the site a lot more. You don't necessarily need to switch entirely to third person, just get the name in there.
The videos for example are titled "DJing at..." - well who's DJing? :-) Get your name in there too.
Also, the pages themselves are named home, my bio, uk gigs, Ibiza gigs, mixes etc. - all very non specific. Whose UK gigs? Whose Ibiza gigs? Get your name in there! Rename the pages DJ-Les-Ibiza-gig-history.html and so on. It all helps Google.

Ah thanks mate, that's the kind of feedback I was hoping for. Helps me focus on the direction I need to go in.
It's my clientele at my residency that keep calling me DJ Les after I got the re-direct last July/August and put in the promo video. So for a few months now I've been going with the flow. When I get the website done I intend to get some new business cards & T-shirts running with the same theme if I can to create a sort of corporate image.
Right, gonna set myself a target to try and work the name into every page at least once. ;-)
Once again thanks for your time to look it over, it's much appreciated.
Cheers

Hey mate, just had a chance to look at the new layout and it's looking so much brighter... wey hey!
Only thing that is sticking out and could be of concern is the font style you are using, looks like you are using an old commodore machine... lol
Other than that it's getting a nice revamp.

Ha ha ha, could be taken the wrong way. I've added the g to the title ;-)
I decided to leave the navigation titles along the top as they were, but, change the title on each page instead.
I counted 21 mentions of DJ Les lol
Tayla, the fonts used are supplied with the Godaddy template. I'll try some of the others, but, the choice is limited.
Cheers

I'm currently in the midst of making my own website too. I'm using wix to build mine. I find it really easy to use. Will link it up here when I'm done. For anyone else who wants to build your site check out www.wix.com.

I've checked out that www.wix.com site and it works similar to Godaddy.com. But, the annual cost at Godaddy is a lot cheaper and the basic version doesn't have ads on like www.wix.com. Godaddy gives double storage space at the basic level.
www.wix.com seems to have more & better templates.
If you haven't committed financially yet then maybe worth checking out Goddady.com

I just bought a domain name from GoDaddy but I have not got around to creating the site. I have not paid for the web building yet as I'm not 100% sure when I will be ready to fully commit to being a mobile DJ. I own the domain for 3 years at the moment but will get around to building the site. I talked to their customer service and they said that if you can find a site that does free hosting then you can use your domain name from them. However if you start it on GoDaddy and stop paying for the web building tool then the site disappears.

Hi guys,
Have done loads more development on my website using some of the suggestions from here in the community.
I'm happy with the headers I now have for each page except the 'Video' page. So, started looking for images in Google for ideas, then, accidentally came across these interesting articles on video content on websites to get it up the ranking in Google;
http://adsupnow.com/blog/tag/video-preroll/
http://mashable.com/2010/02/01/web-video-seo/
http://www.business2community.com/online-marketing/6-ways-to-properly-market-a-video-0341924#!sxiQv
I'm starting to think 'Video Wall' linked to my YouTube channel, with relevant video content possibly? Bearing in mind that I'm marketing myself as a video DJ.
Any thoughts anybody?
Oops, gotta go the 'Toon' match is on lol
Cheers

After putting in 12-15 hours per day since Christmas Eve, and completely rebuilt since last Saturday, it appears that I may have finished my website....... well, mostly. :-)
Includes a video wall link to my YouTube account.
Talking of links, I've counted all the links including picture links, there are 100, excluding the video wall!!!
Go and have a look around, constructive criticism is welcome (as long as it's not rude lol). Enjoy.
Cheers

I personally hate when pictures load after the page has loaded. I would put in a little javascript to fade in the pages once all the images have loaded
<script>
var page = document.getElementById('wsb-canvas-template-page');
page.style.opacity = 0;
page.style.webkitTransition = '1s opacity';
page.style.transition = '1s opacity';
document.onload = function(){
page.style.opacity = 1;
}
</script>
only if you have access to the raw html thought, It should degrade nicely in the old IE browsers but look good in the modern ones slowly fading in when all the static content is loaded.

Thanks for having a look synthetic, much appreciated.
The software is Godaddy's online 'drag & drop' software. There is a function to put in HTML code, not sure if it will work, but will give it a try.
I found that the 'video wall' doesn't work on my Android pad or phone and neither does the Mixcloud plugin. They both work fine on my laptop computer though.
***UPDATE***
Nope, that didn't work. I ended up with an invisible website!!! Thanks :-(

that's weird, it works on my local xammp server with a test page running on the latest chrome. I loaded a large image of a model from somewhere on the internet that took about a second to load, once it was there the element with that id "which is the body of the page" is faded in slowly. This is a more programmatic way of doing it, give it a go. Also for it to work it need's to be declared after the "wsb-canvas-template-page" element so not in the <head> tags. The safest place for it is at the bottom of the page before the closing </body> tag
<script>
(function(){
var page = document.getElementById('wsb-canvas-template-page'),
i = 0;
page.style.opacity = 0;
function step(){
if(i < 1){
i = i + 0.05;
page.style.opacity = i;
setTimeout(step, 16);
}
}
document.images[document.images.length - 1].onload = step;
})();
</script>

Hey Tayla,
Gave it a quick look, some things that I noticed, most are aesthetic
- You are mixing two very different fonts, a sans serif font (text and headers) with a serif font (menu), that's not common practice. If you want to have a slightly formal look and feel take a sans serif font as menu items and a pretty simular serif font as text (this is what newspapers and magazines often do). Less formal? Loose the serifs and use one or two sans serif fonts.
- Various text sizes throughout the pages, even multiple on one page. Pick one text size and stick with it.
- Headers not uniform, one page its bold white, the others have no headers and the next are huge purple and underlined, next green underlined. Pick one and stick with it.
- Same with sub headers. Some pages have non, others are underlined, pick one and stick with it :P
Hope it helps a bit
