Topic: Trouble recording. Picks up all sound....

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello I have two Denon DNS-1000's and a Denon DNX-100 Mixer. I hooked up my mac via Mk4 sound card, and everything seems to work..until I try to record.

The only thing I use my Mac virtual dj for is for all the loops, effects, music library etc, but I use my main mixer the songs etc.( So on virtual DJ the middle mixer part, it stays in the middle since I use my actual mixer to control it left or right etc) Everytime I try to record and make a song, it picks up all the sound. For instance, I have cd deck 1 on full volume and i am listening to cd deck 2 via headphones, while it is on 0 volume. Thru the speakers it does not pick it up, but when I go back to listen it picks everything up so it sounds like crap. What do I do to fix it so I can start recording mixes thru virtual DJ ?

When I understand you right, you must only connect the Denon Mixer Master/Record or Booth Output with a LineIn Input of the MK4.

After that, add additional inside the advanced config following.

Record Loopback – MK4 ASIO – Input 1&2

When you now, press the Record Button, it will record the signal from your Mixer Output.

If you are playing with Timecode, we have a problem.
The MK4 has not enough Inputs and as far as I know, it is’t possible at the moment to use the Mac Soundcard LineIn.
But you can give it a try.

Record Loopback – Mac Soundcard – Input 1&2
