Topic: timecodes up and trotting but still a few problems

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hi guys, so ive dug out the decks and TC's and finally got the sound sorted. not sure how many of you remember all the chew i had trying to get them set up a while back but i discovered today theres an auto button in the esi control panel and when you click it, it allows the sample rate to be automatically chosen. not before i assumed it was on auto as the button was lit up.

trust esi to use backwards buttons. i clicked it in frustration while i was randomly clicking and stumbled across it. so anyway, no more distortion and crackeling.

the problems i have now, is i have huge amounts of bass pumping through my system. vdj is set to mid way on the bass, on my mixer i cant go past 1/4 way without bass totally drowning out the mid and high ranges. the bass is turned down as low as possible on my amp too. any ideas??

2: i have a constant hum from the speakers eventhough none of the gain/volumes are past half way.

3: one of my TT's is lagging timewise because the belts bolloxed and i cant use my DD TT's because i need some silly little phono - phono connection blocks that i searched all over town for today and cant find any.

other than that things seem to be not too bad.

cant wait till march, should have a bit of cash saved up by then. i want some 1210's or some stanton str8-150's.

@Dazmax

WOOOOHOOOOOO! FINALLY!
