Topic: How to Stop Screen from Dimming?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm a brand new Mac user. Finally bought a MacBook Pro based on a combination of research, hype, and referrals. I'm excited and I hope it works as well as I anticipate it to. So far, the thing is pretty freakin' neat, although it's taking some getting used to.

I loaded Virtual DJ and got the thing running with my U46DJ sound card and Denon S5000 CD Players...check! Still not reading right with my turntables, but I haven't really tried to tweek anything yet (in that regard). As I play with the thing, Im sure I'll have more intelligent questions but for now this is all I got... My question is that the screen dims about a minute or so into the song as if it's going to sleep or save energy mode. With a PC, it seemed to automatically stay 'on' when Virtual DJ was running. how do i get the screen to stop dimming?

Thx guys...

It is under setting's on the mac NOT virtual DJ try going to system preferences on your mac then go to energy saver its a light bulb icon and change the settings you want there if that dosent solve it under system preferences go to display then it should have one more setting for brightness hope this helps and oooo if your key board lights down go under keyboard settings in system preferences and change it there
