Topic: BPM/Numerical Key Cache

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When you analyze a track for it's numerical key and BPM, where is this piece of information stored? I've checked the tags on my MP3s and they are blank, this means that VDJ stores them somewhere else... Where is that?

Sorry if this has been reposted, and sorry for my poor english. Thanks in advance.

The tag is stored in the vdj folder on your hard drive and does not get written to the actual file. If you right click on the track in VDJ and go to "file info", it will open up the file and show you the analyzed information like bpm, key, number of times played, etc. The information analyzed by VDJ is not stored to the original file.

Hope that helps

Exactly what I needed... Thanks for the answer :-)

This is something id like to see changed. Id like it if VDJ would automatically write the bpm and key back to the id3 tag after analyzing the track. I have started a thread in the wishes forum called "BPM and KEY......." Feel free to drop a line if you agree.
