Topic: Suggestions for a good beginner CDJ?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey title pretty much says it all, I have an all in one controller, but looking to mess with timecodes and CDJs seems like the better root as Im only a beginner and on a budget. Any advice would be great.

Thanks, that looks like a great option. May seem like a dumb question but this wont require any additional hardware like a sound card, will it?

I dont own 1 yet (next week I'll be ordering 1) but from what I've read it has a soundcard built-in so your good to go.

Ive done a little research on the Mixdeck and Ive found that only the decks are MIDI compatible with VDJ so I dont think it would be that good of an idea considering I only do audio. I currently own an MK4, which obviously controls the crossfade and effects quite well, but Im thinking about just two CDJs for running timecodes with it and to make my setup look a little more professional. I was thinking about the Pioneer CDJ 400 but they are a little pricy.
