Any turntable can be used with time codes.

So your saying that all I need is time coded vinyl and I should be able get this table up and running. Some ppl say that the serato 2 vinyl is better than the virtual vinyl is that true?

The stanton 62 works great with vdj but I strongly advised to stay away from it though. I have the .62 and I don't hate them but It's on the way out the door. I use them for my practice decks but the motor is just not strong enough even on 33 rpm and at 45 forget it. I'm not just talking about scratching but even cue / release the motor has that slight split second release that constantly messes with any idea beatmatching and cuting. Also the tone arm just doesnt have enough weight to keep it from skipping at times. I even have my weight battle style and it still skips.
At 162.00us I was pressed about getting replacements for practice decks if anything it help me to deal with extreme conditions when mixing lol. I should have returned them but I got so busy that I missed the return time frame.. o'well
I also use the serato v2.

Thanks for the advice. Do you use the serato program or the serato v.2 vinyl timecode? I went this am and bought serato timecode v.2 vinyl and got it hooked up and working. I see what your talking about the motor not being strong enough I cant even get a decent scratch out of it but I don't know if the needle is bad since i'm a noob even when I play a full song the volume sound is low. So I traded a iphone 3g 8gig for this table I have about 5hrs to call the guy back and tell him that the table just isn't working with what I have and just get something later down the road.

The needle will make a different in sound quality but the skipping and motor speed is still a problem. Since your scratching the lag may be too much of a difference or deal breaker assuming.
Yes, I used v2 serato wax and I tried it with other timecode wax and program. If you can hold off for a better TT. Even 50.00 you can get a better TT and it would be on your nerves and frustration. Dont let your enthuesiasm get something you may not be happy with.
Good luck
