My iMac does not seem to recognize the DN X1700 mixer's sound card. My s3700 are recognized but no the mixer. I can control the VDJ players with the s3700 but not the VDJ cross fader with the X1700. am I missing something? I have downloaded the mapper and placed it in the VDJ folder under mapping. Not sure what else I'm missing.

I have DN-X1600. If it works the same way on both units, you have to be in "USB B" mode in order to use it as a midi-controller. And I have my source selector set to P1 P2 P3 and P4 on 4 channels respectively. Don't forget to turn on the midi button too (right beside the crossfader).
Hope this helps.

A hardware audio mixer cannot control the on-screen software mixer in VirtualDJ unless it's MIDI capable and you map it to do so, which is NOT recommended - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MIDI%20mapping%20an%20external%20DJ%20mixer.html
