Hi, Loading vob files causes error in VDJ.
I have option to shutdown or recover.
Recover isn't any help, program hangs, CPU load at 100%

VOB files are playing perfectly with powerDVD 6....

Next question, why CPU load is at 75-80% when playing a video file
Same file playing via powerDVD only shows 40-50% CPU load.

Power dvd we've found to be a probelm as it doens't like to share its codecs outside of pdvd. The one we recomend now is called elcard dvd player. Its free and its here

The cpu usuage has a lot to do with having the settings in vdj incorrect. Try this

1 in the cofig tab go to video 2 enable harware acceleration

Try loading your videos now and check your cpu. If you get an error when trying to use hardware mode then your video card deosn't support it. Look into getting another. At least and fx500 and above.

OK guy's, I've installed the elecard DVD player, but the result isn't better
Q1.: Do I need to remove Power DVD?
Q2: Also Nero reloaded + Nero media DVD player is installed -> also a problem ?
Secondary, hardware accelleration is even worser (CPU to 100%)
PC specs: P4-2.4G with 1GB RAM, video card = Radeon 9600PRO-128MB - SATA HD 160GB - Soundcard:Creative Audigy 1

Note: if the installed soft from other DVD player manufacturers causes problems with VDJ, my proposal is that programmers of VDJ should make it possible to select the encoder in the options list.
Then all we can experiment what's the best for your system.

Maybe I put this as topic on the wish list.
