Ok im a nwebie i can accept that and i probebly asked a question with a simple answer and im not looking to be baned from the forum but i dont understand the answer i have been given in another thread being new to forums i cant find a way to private message the admin that gave what seems to be a snap answer of implying im running unlicensed ilegal software to ask them to explain and to top it off the thread was closed so i couldent ask for an explanation of the implication there

as i stated im new to Digital Djing with a midi controler new to apple mac and new to having to use a forum for help im not a young person im an older guy trying to move with the times and so far my expiriance between vendors companys and now here in the virtual dj forums has not been good could some one explain in laymans terms what has been said to me from here

http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/138838/MAC_Version_Technical_Support/setting_up_Virtual_DJ_6_with_the_VMS4.html

as i have a leagal licesned copy of virtual DJ LE i also have a legal licensed copy of Virtual DJ 6 and also have a new american audio VMS4 that i can only get to work on the cut down bundled software that came with it

am i right in thinking i was told that my copys wernt legal or am i being told the VSM4 dosent work with virtual dj 6 and i have to pay out more to get vrtual dj 7 ????

i am totaly lost and now upset and tired having spent since miday today trying to fathom out a problem it now being 1:30 am in the uk only to have teh thread closed and no real answer to my problem or maybe i am just a stupid disleyxic old bloke that should stick to what he knows in the form of cds and viynal

I dont have a vms4 but if you have the PRO version of vdj6 (which you should upgrade to 7 anyway - its free), then it should work. Does it install the drivers for the vms4 when you plug it in? Need more info to go on.

Isnt 7 still having a few problems ????

as far as i know the drivers are installed im on a mac and they are installed as part of the install process slightly diffrent to the pc version witxh i know you have to put in befor installing the software

when i hit check for updates it tells me im bang upto date so thought that virtal dj 7 was a fresh program so to speak

is vdj6 is in the your name with same password and login as your vms4dj le .if yes then click on your download button at the top and you will find your vdj6 to vdj7 upgrad free with your serial numbers.

if not you must login to your vdj6 and upgard to vd7 ie pro , to make the vms4 to work with all the good stuff.

and if your vdj6 is not letting you login and upgard then go back to support ask for help on this login .

the costed of a very generous discount to people who have LE versions such as yourself is i think about £100.

hope this will helps.

thanks Guys much more help than my first attempt

on the case now

thanks again

if i remember rightly at some point i read that you have to install vdj that came with the controller and the install the pro version ontop

Yay sucsess :D
