Topic: Timecode setup help

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey, I've just bought a esi maya 44 usb soundcard for a timecode setup but I can't seem to get the configuration right. I'm using some vestax turntables and serato scratch timecoded vinyls connected to the maya and then out to an external mixer. When I play any music I get some horrible distortion and a ridiculous amount of bass.

Then when I look at the settings I get the concentric circles but the quality is down to about 3%, if I then apply the phono filter this goes up to 100% but the rings go super fuzzy and all of this makes no difference to the sound quality. But the strange thing is if I plug some headphones into the maya soundcard the sound quality through the headphones is great. I've seen a lot of posts about the maya 44 but I could really use some help.
