Topic: Problems with re\disconnecting midi equipment...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hola,

I have 2x dns-3700 connected with the latest denon firmware to the VDJ 7.01 software.
In the presets of the denons I set the midi channel to 1 and the first player has an unit number of 1 and the second an unit number of 2

When I disconnect \ reconnect, the software messes up the unit number of the players!
Most of the time they get the same number getting a strange mickey mouse (2x the speed) sound.

Sometimes the software swappes the number of the players...

What I want:
I want the software to stick to the players unit number, no matter what!

Can you help fix this, is there a work arround?
Or is this a bug?

I tried it with my dns-1200's as well,
Here the players are still swapped arround, or given the same unit number at reconnection.
(It does give the players the good unit numbers at startup though)
But with the 1200's the mikey mouse effect (2x the speed) is not apearing.

Please help to fix this in a reliable way....;)
