Hi all,
So I was wondering if I could take customer made music selections from DJ intelligence web software and have VDJ read the file auto create the playlist for me. I asked DJ intell and the reply was....
"If you upload your own music catalog, exported from your working computer that you use at an event, our system will then produce an M3U Playlist file which gets attached to the submit notification email that comes to you when your customer is done building their list and clicks the "Submit Songlist" button. In addition to the M3U Playlist attachment, we also include a .CSV to which Virtual DJ should read one or the other."
Is this true is anybody already doing this?

Yes, but you must format your music Catalog with at least 3 entries ARTIST , SONG TITLE and FILE LOCATION of your music.
There is a "how to" on the DJ Intel site just print it off and follow the instructions and the previous tips will work.
I set up a dummy client and tested it that way, it works... nice if you get a long list from clients not so much if only a few songs.
VDJ does not create the playlist it's created automatically with DJI VDJ just reads it where ever you put it.
I create a "PLAYLIST" folder on my desktop and point to that location with VDJ for any playlists I create.
I use Mediamonkey to manage my Music library and create M3U formatted playlists for VDJ and other player software to use.
MM will allow you to select all your music and export it as a CSV file where you can then delete unneeded columns and rows using MS EXCELL as show in the "DJI How to". save as a txt file and then upload the file to DJI.
