Hi Daniel. I had a similar problem on my old laptop and RMX using the basic software. The tune would be playing and then it just freeze for a split second and then play fine again for a bit, then jumped again. This was whilst playing on the radio AND when in a club as well... WITH A 10K SUNDSYSTEM THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!
I never quite got the slight jump to go away on that laptop although It was much better when i turned off any background programmes (using "Game-Booster"software, which turns off all the programmes running in the background) and disabled the wireless signal seeking software and Anti virus programme.
The problem seemed to be that the CPU was maxing out and it was stretching the abilities ov my old Dell laptop. (You can check this by pressing Control+Alt+Delete and selecting Task Manager, This gives you a graph ov whats going on in ya computer.)
However, once i got a good laptop with an i3 core, 500Gig memory AND the Pro VDJ software it all works fine. Prob cos it not being quite so streatched by the programme.
So,
Clear as much out ov the PC memory as you can,
Junk any flashy screen savers etc,
Download Game-Booster,
Turn off the Anti-Virus
and Disable the wireless thingy.
If this doesn't work...
....Get ya piggy bank out and get a very high powered Laptop i3, i5 or i7
... or start mixing Dubstep (cos no one can tell if the wobble is meant to be there or not!!!! It worked for me!!!!!
You can check out the Hercules website which gives a page that tell you what settings to have on ya computer to get an RMX/VDJ and computer running properly.
Hope that helps some babes. Good luck, let me know if it works (and "Friend" me if it does!!!)

P.s. i think that you've got to register your RMX to get access to the Hercules site but try anyway.

dont have to buy just yet mate.try the tips senna gave you reguarding the anti virus ect.also try this from hercules when i was using rmx this sorted a lot of my trouble.check your programmes running in backround and stop all when using vdj.all i run is vdj on my gig machine when working.
also where do you get your music from could be virus or bad download.
also try mp3gain free programme to set all your mp3s to same level as some of mine were so loud the db would distort when working.
site for hercules as mentioned above http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=17&fid=62&pid=215&cid=6

Seana , good job ! i didn't think you were listening , but you were ....you seem
to have adopted some of the good advice you got here at the forum
you definitely told him some good tweaks ......
Daniel , if you have Aero enabled get rid of it ......
normally W7 units have 3 or 4 gigs Ram , could be a problem if you have less
how much ram do you have ?
Seana do you still have some skipping ??
if you ctrl-shift-esc in W7 that will invoke the task mgr directly , bypassing the menu .....

Ok, let's break this down. Post the specs of your PC to give us a head start.
What do you have the mic plugged in to?
What mic are you using?
Are you using a controller?
The more info we have the better we can help you. We will also probably ask a heap ore questions too so be prepared.
Cheers,
Roy
