Does anyone use the M-Audio Audiophile 2496? I'm thinking about TCV but need a cheep soundcard (Cos i'm permanently skint lol) seen this and m-audio uk homepage advertise it as £69.99. it's the cheapest card i've seen which would be able to handle TCV (although am not sure what the latency is on the Audiophile)

Anyone know more about it? or whether its good enough for TCV. i'm hoping to learn how to scratch a bit better than on my lil hercules

Cheers

i have a maya 44 usb for my laptop which cost me £100 which works fine.. however the m- audio audiophile is better sound quality, i dont think vdj supports 96khz. You can still set audiophile to 44 instead of 96 i think.

I would suggest a usb audio interface like the maya. then you can connect your setup to another pc easily witout having to undo the case and take the pci card out. Also you could use it with a laptop.
