Topic: Not too happy with Pro 7 just bought it

I am having a few issues with pro 7. To begin with the skins at the top left have the Virtual DJ logo over the section where my song loads so I cannot see where to add my cues, etc. Is there a way to remove this? Also, although I set my controller which is the Numark ICDX where the left is Deck 1 and the right is Deck 2 it still shows on the screen that both are deck 1. Also in the section of the samples I do not have the option of volume as version 5.2 did. Is there a way to correct these problems? I hope so

What skin are you using? Most of your problems sound skin related. Try a default skin, or an authorised one from the download section on this site. The logo size and position, along with sample volume control, are skin functions.

Did you set the iCDX up in the mappers deck assignment menu in the config panel?
 
I am using Boanerges V1.1 which is the one I was always using with the older version. And with your last question I am not sure I understand what you are asking. I went to set and in the section of mappers there is a small tab where I click the Deck 1 and Deck 2 is there somewhere else that I should be configuring. Thank you for your prompt reply.
 
It shouldn't be a problem; but just so you know Boanerges V1.1 is a v6 skin (and wouldn't work on v5.2 - so you must be using an even older version?) so won't understand the v7 stuff. It will still work, but in a more limited capacity. I would personally recommend using a skin designed for v7.

The missing sample volume control is as I said, a skin designers choice. You can always map a control for this if you want, or add it to an existing skin.

Unfortunately I've no idea about configuring the iCDXs. For all my controllers all I have had to do is as you've done (I've chosen HC4500 to left/right and EVO5 to default personally) and they control the relevant decks they are assigned to.
 
I have 2 ICDX set up with VDJ7 with no problems at all.

Have you tried the default 2 deck skin, then set ICDX 1 to deck 1, and ICDX 2 to deck 2.

Sounds like it's the skin you are having problems with to me as well.
 
V7 has been extensively tested and has no issues as you have described above.

Since you are now using the latest version, it would be better to use either the V7 default skin or one of the others that are fully compatible eg. Rusty or TC Mania.

At least start off with a default skin, and get everything up and running with your hardware first. Once everything's running sweet, you can start tinkering with different skin options...

I'm using DN-3700 when I quickly press cue while playing it normally gets to the cue point, pressing play it does normally but making it faster (cue-play-cue-play-cue-play-cue-play) it doesn't sounds normal. It did go normal on v.6.0 please help.

I too am having skin issues .when the program loads the skins show up but as soon as i try to use the video effects like the titler or clipbank i get problems 1st the activate button is no where to be seen after i want to switch to another option, then when i want to change skin to see if the skin could be the problem there are no skins available ,only the language option and even then there are no languages available...can somebody help i a bit freaked out as i have tons of parties to play for the holidays and the new update is freaking out....how do i revert to the previous version....thanks for trouble of answering back....cheers
 
If you want to go back a version, uninstall the new one. Install an older version (you do keep all the previous versions, don't you?) If you don't have a previous file, ask support, and they will provide one. Next, which skin are you using? Only use the default skins when testing, then add skins that are for that version. If it says it's a ver 4 skin, I don't care how much you like it, it is not for ver 7. I have found that if I reinstall the new version, it works perfectly. I don't know what happens, but sometimes I have issues with new versions. A reinstall fixes it. Maybe something happened when you downloaded the install file. Download it again.

Let me just say this for the one thousandth time. If you have parties to do, why would you install a new version? What part of this do you guys not get? I don't have knee surgery the day before the big game. I don't try out some new tires, an hour before the race. If it works, don't puck with it, until you have the time. These are computers we are working with.
