Topic: Help mapping DN-S1600 Parameter Knob

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Need help. I'm trying to map My Denon DN-S1600 mixer page parameter knob to the browser_scroll and select. After mapping it, if the first song is high lighted in the Main list, as I turn the knob either right or lift it will just go to the last selection and stay there.

Thanks in advance,
EE

Why did you add the .. select ? Browser_scroll is enough. What are you trying to do ?

Sorry that is kind of misleading. Yes I only want the scroll when you turn the knob left or right and the select is when you push down on it. I know the pushing down is another MIDI command. It's the turning the knob that the problem exist.

Thanks,

Try this it should work for you,

"param_greater 50% ? browser_scroll +1 : browser_scroll -1"

If the knob you are trying to assign browser_scroll is an ending slider (ends at left and right like eq knobs) then none of the above code will do the job.
The steps will not be enough to scroll through folders with too many files in.

for some reason it doesn't work just by adding the command. we went thru this awhile back. a device xml has to be added in the device folder in order to work. get the mapper its has the feature you are looking for and it is ready for VD7. http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/11883/DN-X1600_.html

THat file has just been updated for the latest firmware version of the 1600 as well. I installed it last night and everything is working good. Oh and guess what, there is a way to use 2 turntables with timecode under the 3 line mixer setting. I thought this was impossible due to the fact that there is only cd1 and cd2 on line one inputs of the mixer (no phono). With the help of a user on the German forums I was able to get this working with only a slight change to the registry of VDJ. Very relieved to get this figured out as no one seem to have any answers regarding the topic.

Thanks. The mapper worked. Good job!
