Ok so what i am trying to do is have automix play on one deck, then when i want to play a slow song or if someone at the party request a song I want to play it in the other deck. I am trying to figure out how to do this but i cant figure out how to set a shortcut to make the crossfader go to the right/left automatically and have it play automatically by the touch of a button. I dont want to have to drag the crossfader over manually and press play. I saw something on how to set macros and such but i dont know how to do that. I have version 7 home free.

If it is keyboard you can use: mix_now_nosync. then assign any key you want

Go to VDJ Configuratoin. Then choose mappers.
From there set the key you want and action.
In the key box (op the right) type the key.
Than go to the action and type the action.
You may have to play wit it for a while, but you will get it the way
you want it.
