I want to do video but donot know what I need I have a imac

you can use netsearch to get the videos. Not sure what you need.Mac version cant record video mixes
 
i mean what do i need so i can hook to a tv to play the video
 
From a macbook you can use your tv output socket. it has a special name which i cant remember but you can get the right connector from amazon or ebay as apple will charge you over the odds. But it depends on what you are connecting it to. ie my tv can be connected by hdmi (HD cable)nor by DVI (Computer monitor) Im guessing you are using a macbook??

but like i said it depends on what mac you have and how you are connecting it to tv. I would guess that HDMI would be the easiest to do or DVI as they are digital and give the best picture quality.
