This is my first post here. I recently downloaded the Free Edition of the Virtual DJ. I loaded a song into the
left side and when I tried to play it, it was all garbled and up tempo from what it should be. Is there some configuring that
needs to be done on this initially? After playing with it a bit, trying to figure it out I now cannot play anything on it. It says it's
playing but nothing is happening.
I downloaded the User Guide and that's been of no help at all. Very frustrated with this application.

what are you using hardware? or just computer? a little more of what your set up is may help.

Go to soundcard settings, make sure you have a logic soundcard setting.
Wrong asio settings, can speed up the song. And wrong settings, can give no sound.
Also (but you said not new to djing.. ) watch the pitch slider.. If you press sync songs will match tempo to eathother, and depending on differences between the songs in tempo, it can give a big speed up.
