Topic: PLEASE HELP! DN HC 4500 stopped working

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I was using my 4500 with 6.02 perfect. Just tried 7 and the controller is recognized but the buttons don't do anything, only the song info is displayed when a song loads. Tried going back to any of the vdj 6's, and it won't recognize the controller at all.

Yes i have the latest firmware.

Either way, somehow i fixed it. Don't know what i did. Between the multiple re installations of programs and drivers, it started working again. I guess it's still worth pointing out that when i installed vdj 7... the HC4500 got all wacked. For now i'm sticking with 6.

I have the same problem with Cue and my Denon 3700's, I was using 6.*.* without a glitch until I upgraded everything, now nothing works! I am glad you were able to fix your issue, I am getting extremely frustrated with mine.
 
i have no problems with my hc4500 and vdj7. works great.
 
There is no difference between V6 & 7 as far as controllers are concerned. Both versions use the same mapping script and the transition should be totally seamless,
