Not sure if this is the right place to start this topic, but here goes anyways
Problem:
After hours of searching I finally managed to get dn-s1200 x2 and mackie d.4 pro to full work with my mac.
Solution:
- install windows (i.e. xp, vista, etc..) using boot camp
- Install Denon Asio drivers
- Install Mackie D.4 Pro drivers
- Install VDJ version 6.1.2 (not VDJ7... had nothing but problems with VDJ7)
VDJ Sound Configuration:
- Use Mackie D.4 Pro (asio driver) as my external mixer/sound card
- leave everything else as default
- Denons should automatically be mapped as midi controllers.
2 days testing this solution right now and it seems to be working flawlessly, hope it's smooth sailing from now on.
It was too bad that I couldn't get my dn-s1200s to work on the mac, but c'est la vie!
Hope this helps someone out there.

Scrap everything I wrote above. After updating firmware on my 1200s to the latest, I got everything to work nicely on the mac os.
