Just a simple question...
What controllers that are on the market that VDJ 3.0 supports? Would it more wise to only work w/ the xp10?

Yes, any MIDI controller can be used and mapped to any shortcut of VDJ. Of course with a MIDI controller, you have to be sure that you have MIDI input to your computer. Some MIDI controllers (like the X-Session that I use) provide USB connectivity and even allow for other MIDI devices to attach to it for use with the computer.
The problem is that with MIDI, you will generally find alot of buttons, rotary knobs, and vertical faders; much more rare to find horizontal faders (ie crossfaders) or jog wheels (especially dual jog wheels.)
The X-session has buttons, knobs and even a crossfader, but no jog wheels. That's why I use an X-session in conjunction with a Hercules DJ Console.
